On view from Jan 15-Feb 18th at Choplet Gallery & Studio 238 Grand St. Williamsburg, New York.
Emilie Lundstrøm's new works consist of scuptural ceramic pieces with images created with cyanotype emulsion (an early photographic process). Familiar Faces in Blue shows Emilie's close friends and family in a series of portraits. Cyanotype on uneven ceramic surfaces is an unpredictible process, and in Familiar Faces in Blue Emilie uses this technique to reflect on the mutability of personal relationships and their correspondences in our memories.
