A silkworm’s life is one of constant transformation.

From an egg into a worm, building it’s coccoon, to the metamorphosis that happens within, finally becoming a moth.
The coccoon, layers upon layers of silk, forms an oval shape, almost like an eye.

It is protection against predators during the metamorphosis. If not for the dangers of the world, the coccoon would be totally unnecessary. And so it is with us humans, building our homes to keep us safe.
